10/5 - Hello All, the
NADCAR Season has come to an end
Cotherman grabbed another A-Main Victory at Mohave Valley Raceway on
10/5/2013 to cap off his already epic season! Helen Henesey and Frank Phillips raced to the other
podium finishes at MVR. Thanks to all of the NADCAR Drivers,
friends and families for making the 2013 season great!!
We had some really great sponsors this year, not only supporting
with corporate sponsorship but adding to many of the Two Day

again from all of the drivers, we aren't able to have this much fun
without your support!
I will keep you all up to date on where the banquet festivities

trophy at the banquet! So, Congrats to ALL!
9/21 - It was another fast round
of racing Saturday night for the NADCAR Drivers. Mohave Valley Raceway
provided a smooth dry track for a fun night of racing for all!
#90 Frank Phillips jumped
out to an early lead in the first heat race. Pat Henesey and Storm Phillips couldn't touch the
C & C Auto Lakeside Chassis for the 8 laps of competition,
finishing 2nd and 3rd. Current points leader Tim Cotherman was a force to be
reckoned with in heat race #2. Helen Henesey gave it all she had
but settled for second to the 2012 NADCAR Champ, Rick Haase grabbed the 3rd invert
spot for that heat race.
The track for the main event was a fast one! #90 Phillips was
determined to get to the lead, he dropped to the bottom
of the track going in to 1, never lifting. Pat Henesey was left in
a pickle on the outside line with the #90 truck exiting turn 2! He
dropped off the track, giving room for Phillips... and the rest of
the field! Helen Henesey, Tim Cotherman, Frank Phillips all snuck
by, keeping the track green and the action tight!
Cotherman found his way around #10 Helen Henesey coming out of 2
and never looked back. Cotherman was in a league of his
own, showing the crowd exactly why he is the points
leader! Great run Tim! Helen Henesey, Frank Phillips, Storm
Phillips and Rick Haase rounded out the top 5 for the
Championship Night is October 5th at Mohave Valley Raceway!! The
top 5 is a toss up and the top 20 spots are open for grabs! All Top
20 Championship points finishers for 2013 receive end of the
year pay out! So get to the track and get those points!
9/13 - Added the new Facebook link to the NADCAR Page on the right
side bar under the Race Results.
Ryan Henesey wins the main event at PV
9/7 - What a great night of racing for all that visited
Prescott Valley Raceway! 28
cars came to battle from all over the state. The PV Diesel Trophy Dash win went to returning
hot shoe #67 Mike Dunn. The
heat race wins were taken by #14 Ryan Henesey, #37 Mike Strobl,
#69 Eddie O'Neill and local fast guy #71 David Cooke! 12 cars secured
the automatic transfer to the A Main while 16 battled for the final
12 spots to complete the A Main. Jim Hock jumped to the lead of the
B-Main and easily drove to the checkered flag ahead of the rest of
the B-Main field. The green flag dropped on the field for the 20
lap A Main, #99 Rob Deines was ready to lead some laps and jumped
out to the lead on the high line. The pack of cars was coming quick
with hard racing breaking out throughout the field! Ryan Henesey
was on the move with Mike Dunn coming from mid pack, Tim Cotherman worked his hardest
to get around the #14 but had no luck. Ryan Henesey held on for the
1st place spot followed by a charging Mike Dunn, Tim Cotherman,
David Cooke and Pat
Henesey. Great racing guys!! I couldn't have imagined a better
turn out and show for our welcome back race at PVR! Thanks again to
all!! The purse contributions from Dynamx, Viking Racing, and Sober Living really ended the night well!! We
have 2 events left for the 2013 NADCAR season, both are at Mohave Valley Raceway!
Results and Points are posted.
9/2 - What a great weekend at the race
track! The weather was threatening the White Mountains all
week but cleared up just in time for racing. Tough competition from
the south headed up the hill to take on NADCARs finest. There were
3 heat races for 25 cars, grabbing wins were Pat Henesey,
Randy Deines and DDCCs Matt Tipton!! The track was very
tacky and very fast, there was no way this was going to be a slow
Main Event! Neil Etter lead the field to the green flag at a snails
pace, Rob Deines got a great start on the outside to jump directly
behind Neil for the 2nd position. Cotherman was making moves on the
inside with Tipton reaching for a top 5 finish. Hard charger of the
night was Greg Jewett in the DDCC #33, moving up 13 positions! WOW!
Neil Etter managed to hold off the charging field to grab his 2nd
win of 2013 followed by Cotherman, Haase, Tipton and Pat
Henesey. See the results -
The JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash was
a quick one! Matt Tipton jumped to an early lead on the outside
with Helen Henesey, Steve Kapaun and Heather Henesey chasing him
down. Steve and Helen were bottom feeding while Heather found
traction on the high line attempting to reel in Tipton. Laps ran
out and DDCCs Matt Tipton grabbed the only dash trophy of the
weekend. Two heat race wins were taken by
NADCAR drivers Tim Cotherman and Pat Henesey with Rob
Deines securing one win for the DDCC group in the final heat.
Etter, Cotherman, Tipton and Henesey knew what was on the line for
the Main event, they needed to get to the front and get there fast.
Tipton drew the outside front town with the rest of the 1st place
contenders scattered through the field. The battle for the lead was
intense! Tipton was being hounded by Helen Henesey, Jim Hock and a
charging Tim Cotherman. Steve was working the low line like no ones
business, right when it was heating up.... The LIGHTS WENT OUT....
Literally pitch black... Everyone let off the gas, managed not to
crash and waited for the lights to come back on. Interviews went on
while we waited on the front stretch. Very, very funny interviews!
The last thing Tipton wanted was his momentum to be broken,
Cotherman was coming and he needed to beat him to secure the
overall championship. Cotherman raced enough of these two day shows
and wasn't about to let the newbie / DDCC guy show him up.
Cotherman threw it low and grabbed the lead coming out of 2 with 4
to go. #43 took the lead and never looked back. He took the
checkered flag along with the overall Championship!! The North
grabs the overall win for 2013!! See the results -

Main Event Winner - Cale Rudy
Trophy Dash winner Colby Potter
E&E Dash for Cash winner Frank
Raceway hosted Race # 9 of the 2013
NADCAR season this past weekend. The weather was great and
the fans were ready for some racing! Colby Potter ran away with the
JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash beating
Kelly Baca and Erin Deines. Frank Phillips took off and
grabbed the high line in heat #1 to drive to the checkered flags
first, out running #47 Steve Kapaun and #99 Rob Deines. Helen Henesey and Brian Stehr
went at it again in heat race #2... I'm sure he is getting pretty
sick of watching that #10 truck show him around the track. Helen
Henesey secured the 1st place position followed by Stehr and Rat
Stafford. Tim Cotherman
drove his rent a ride truck #09 to a photo finish against Storm Phillips to grab the 3rd
heat race win.
Main Event time had #24 Cale Rudy and #95 Rat Stafford bringing the
20 car field to the green flag. Stafford jumped out to an early
lead with Cale Rudy all over his rear bumper, Cale jumped by Rat on
the high line and lead the rest of the green flag laps, Rudy fought
off a challenge from 2012 Points Champion Cotherman to grab
his first NADCAR win!
Next race is August 24 at Thunder Raceway! See you all

8/3/13 - I'm not sure the
clouds and lightening could have been worse then what the racers
saw on their way to racing action Saturday afternoon! With positive
thinking and way too many weeks off from racing, the clouds parted
and left one heck of a sticky track for the 19 dwarf car drivers to
do battle on! Helen
Henesey was shot out a cannon for the JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash, leaving Rick Haase and Steve Kapaun to eat her dust! Heat
race 1 went to #12 Pat
Henesey who saw the low line open, threw his '40 Ford truck on
the bottom and drove straight to the lead. Cale Rudy and Neil Etter
followed up in 2nd and 3rd place. Rat Stafford was hooked up for
heat race #2, leading every lap to easily take the checkered flag
ahead of Steve Kapaun and Storm Phillips. Heat Race #3 was
a Fuel Injected Show down! Helen Henesey let Brian Stehr know
in the pits that he'd be finishing behind her.. and that's exactly
what happened! Henesey was on rails again for the heat race with
Stehr and George Cooke
battling behind her for the 2nd position! Great racing action for
all of the heat races!
Main Event time had Rat Stafford and Neil Etter leading
the field to the green flag. Pat Henesey made a quick move on the
bottom to grab the lead a lap into the feature, Cale Rudy was
hot on his tail within laps, Rudy tried him high and low with no
luck. Heather Henesey,
Brian Stehr and Steve Kapaun were all working there way
through the pack to get a chance at the win. Stehr used the bottom
line to pick off the field of cars one by one, he fought with Rudy
for 2nd quite a few laps until he made his way to the leader. Pat
Henesey put on a good fight but couldn't hold off the charging
Brian Stehr! Congrats to Brain on his 2nd win of the season! Great
racing NADCAR Drivers.

June 22nd !
Pat Henesey wins the JBJ Trucking Trophy
6/22 - Not a cloud in the Sky but
a Storm was brewing at Thunder
Raceway! Another great night of racing at Thunder
Raceway for the NADCAR group! #12 Pat Henesey battled with
#63 Rick Haase and
#24 Cale Rudy lap after lap to grab the JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash win! #11 Heather Henesey jumped out
to an early lead in Heat Race 1, Storm Phillips tried the low line
but couldn't make it stick Henesey, Phillips and Rudy crossed the
line in the first 3 spots. Frank Phillips and Rick Haase put
a show on for the fans in heat race #2! Phillips had the #90 hooked
up on the high line while Hasse gave it everything he had on the
low line! Frank Phillips grabbed the win, followed by Haase and Rat
Stafford! #12 Pat Henesey was at it again in the 3rd heat race. He
launched out to the front of the field, Neil Etter, Helen Henesey and Tim Cotherman all gave chase.
Cotherman was making moves through the field to try and get to
Henesey before the checkered flag waived. Cotherman saw the white
flag and had to make a move, throwing it in hard to turn 3 he was
able to drive down to the tires and beat Henesey to the checkered
The track was a little dry, a little dusty, but the NADCAR drivers
were ready to rumble! Storm Phillips was on a mission from the drop
of the green flag! He jumped out to the lead coming out
of turn 2! The rest of the field knew they'd have to work to catch
a fast Phillips. Frank Phillips was making moves on the low line,
Cotherman diced high and low through traffic to get to Storm's
bumper, Rat Stafford was holding a fast high line on the berm
trying to hunt down the leaders! This track was made for the #5
Arrow Redi Mix Machine! Storm Phillips lead all 20 laps and grabbed
the victory ahead of Tim Cotherman, Heather Henesey, Rat Stafford
and Rick Haase! Way to go Storm!! What a Race!!!!
4th of July weekend racing is in less than 2 weeks! July 5th
(nonpoint) and July 6th (points race)!!
Neil Etter wins his first Main Event at
Thunder Raceway on 6/8/2013
Storm Phillips wins the JBJ Trucking
6/8/2013 - NADCAR Points race #5 is in
the books! What an exciting night of racing! The weather
couldn't have been better at Thunder
Raceway. The green flag waived for the JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash, #5 Storm Phillips jumped out to
an early lead, showing Eckart, Etter and Rudy the fast way around
the track. The high line was hooked up for Phillips and no one
could touch him! Phillips easily grabbed the first trophy of the
night. Storm Phillips and Jeff Eckart gave the fans another show in
heat #1also, Eckart grabbing the preferred high line with Phillips
giving it everything he had on the low line. Helen Henesey joined the battle
but couldn't make a move around Phillips. Eckart, Phillips and
Henesey took the top 3 spots. 2012 Points Champ Tim Cotherman lead every lap of
the 2nd heat race, Frank
Phillips reeled him in on the last laps but didn't have enough
to get around Cotherman settling for 2nd, with Pat Henesey grabbing 3rd. Cale Rudy
drove his #24 coupe to the front of heat #3 leading George Cooke and Heather Henesey around the top
of the track for the first few laps. An unfortunate slide job gone
wrong sent Rudy hard into the wall, giving the lead to Henesey.
Henesey, Colby Potter and George Cooke finished in the top 3 spots
of heat #3. Neil Etter and Colby Potter
lead the field to the green flag for 20 laps of racing action!
Etter got a great launch on the outside line, rolling through 1 and
2 perfectly, leaving the fast field in his dust. Pat Henesey,
Heather Henesey and Tim Cotherman knew they had work to do if
they wanted to catch Etter. The field was racing tight and fast and
Etter was extending his lead. #11 Henesey and #43 Cotherman
used the high line to get around Pat Henesey looking to hunt down
Etter, who had 10 car lengths on the field. Maneuvering safely
around lapped traffic and still holding the large lead was going to
be hard for Etter. Dicing through traffic and keeping the lead, the
#13 Sedan was fast and moved quickly through the lapped cars
and on to the Checkered flag!! Etter gabbed his well earned first
Main Event WIN! Way to go Neil! Great Job!! Heather Henesey, Storm
Phillips, Frank Phillips and Pat Henesey finish out the rest of the
top 5 spots!
I can't say enough about the drivers of the NADCAR group! We
were sent out to pack a wet track AGAIN... and everyone suited up
and went out with a smile. We prepared a great track and put on an
even better race for the fans with NO YELLOWS! Green to Checker!!
See you all in 2 weeks for more Thunder Raceway racing

out to play for the 4th NADCAR points
race of the year! #95 Rat Stafford and #99 Rob Deines lead
the JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash to
the green flag. The 4 cars battled neck and neck lap after lap,
Storm Phillips tried Rat
high and low but couldn’t find a way around! Stafford lead
all 4 laps and clinched the first trophy of the night! #10 “superstar” Helen
Henesey took the early lead in heat race #1 with #24 Cale Rudy
workin the high line to find a way around. Rudy capitalized on a
slip up by the #10 to take the win on the final lap. Rick Haase,
George Cooke and Neil Etter couldn’t touch Rat Stafford in
the 2nd heat race. Rat ran green to checker to grab his second win
of the night. John Ogden
brought his #61 truck up to wheel it around the track, Frank Phillips and John Ogden
battled lap after lap for the 3rd heat, giving the fans a great
show! Ogden edged out Phillips to secure the win for the 3rd heat
The co-pilots had been chosen for all 19 drivers in the main event
and the drivers were ready to race! The track was smooth and had 3
lanes of racing for tons of action. George Cooke took the early lead
for the 20 laps of action, Frank Phillips was quickly on his tail,
looking for a line around him. Helen Henesey was working the low
line to get through traffic while Cale Rudy was using his favorite
high line to make ground on the leaders! There was great racing all
over the track! Frank Phillips threw it in hard on the low line to
steal the lead from George Cooke, Phillips and the #90 Deines
powered machine were hooked up and driving away from the field!
Cooke, Haase, Cotherman and Helen Henesey all
had to settle for top 5 spots. No one could touch Frank Phillips on
the high line! Way to go Frank!!! See you all this weekend for Memorial
Weekend action!! Great payout, great racing and great food and

Prescott Valley Raceway also has a new promoter for 2013. NADCAR
has been in contact with PVR and negociated 4 race dates to add to their 2013 schedule.

Tim Cotherman Wins the Main Event
Frank Phillips Wins the JBJ Trucking
5/4/2013 - It was another great
night of racing for the NADCAR group, Opening Night at Thunder Raceway for 2013! The
night started with the JBJ Trucking
Trophy Dash! We inverted the Top 4 in points from last year
to give the crowd a show! Neil
Etter lead the field at a snails pace to take the green flag,
Frank Phillips read the
start perfectly and jumped out to an early lead. Phillips put the
#90 truck on his favorite high line and checked out. Tim Cotherman gave it all he had
but could only secure the 2nd spot behind the quick Phillips. Heat
#1 was a good one! Pat
Henesey leaped out ahead of the pack to lead the first few laps
with his wife Helen
Henesey reeling him in, straightaway after straightaway. The
final laps had Helen wearing out the rear bumper of the #12 Henesey
Pick up, trying to find anyway around. With no luck, she rolled in
2nd behind the #12 truck. George Cooke and Rick Haase secured the 3rd and 4th
positions. Frank Phillips wasn't letting up on his winning ways, he
jumped to an early lead in heat 2 and didn't look back, Cotherman
and Heather Henesey
gave chase but had nothing for him. Phillips, Cotherman, Henesey
and Kelly Baca finished out the top spots. Another Phillips wanted
in on the winning action, Storm Phillips out of Cornville,
AZ took the green flag for the 3rd heat race and fought off
challenges from Neil Etter, Colby Potter and Cale Rudy!
The crowd and drivers were ready for Main event time! Neil Etter
and Colby Potter lead the field to the green flag for 20 laps of
action. Etter grabbed the early lead ahead of the dust cloud behind
him. The pack was coming fast behind him though, Storm Phillips was
making a charge to the lead while Cotherman and Cale Rudy were
using the high line and flying through the NADCAR field. Cotherman
made quick work of the field to grab the lead just in time for the
checkered flag, Storm Phillips, Cale Rudy, Pat Henesey and Helen
Henesey finished out the top 5 spots.
Great, smart racing by all at this weekends race! Way to go

E&E Services of Lakeside, AZ

More sponsors to go and we will be raffling off 4 brand new
Heather Henesey went green to checkers
for the win !
4/20/2013 - 16 Seasoned drivers
embarked on a nicely prepped Mohave Valley Raceway for
NADCAR's 2nd point’s race of the 2013
Heat 1 put Kingman’s Caleb Presnal on the point to
take the green flag. Flagstaff’s #24 Cale Rudy immediately
put the pressure on him to take the lead spot. Within 2 laps,
Helen Henesey and Grant
Williams raced it out down the backstretch to get their cars near
the front with Helen showing the fast line to take the lead. Half
way through had Pat
Cotherman and Rick Haase
all battling for the invert spot with the long hauling Jeremiah Tatum from Kanab, UT
waiting for 1 of them to bobble so he could capitalize. #10 Hell-On
Wheels Henesey proved to be too strong for the rest of the field
and handily took the first checker of the night with Rudy in 2nd,
#43 Cotherman in 3rd and the newlywed Rick Haase in 4th.
Heat 2 had the #90 Deines built chassis piloted by Show
Phillips on the pole. Frank took a quick lead with Heather Henesey, AJ Breu, the flatlander Purple Viking
Steve Kapaun and George Cooke battling on the
backstretch to advance their positions while Arrow Redi-Mix’s
ride driven by Storm
Williams and Matt Lund chomped at the bit to get into the mix!
After all panned out, Frank checked out and took the 2nd heat
Checkers with Breu 2nd, Kapaun 3rd and Heather Henesey 4th.
The lineup was set for the main event with all drivers; their
rides adjusted accordingly and ready to rumble for NADCAR's
2nd main event of the year! Heather Henesey qualified for the pole
position and took the first several laps with Rudy, Kapaun and
Haase vying to get to her bumper. Hard charging Williams, Cotherman
and Frank were battling to get through the field to get the #11
leader in site. Half way through the race, JBJs Trucking #43
Cotherman worked to 2nd went high and low to get pass the #11.
Cotherman made a low surge on the backstretch to pass #11 Heather
and he could not make it stick with the smooth line driving #11 in
tow to clip his back bumper to bring out the 1st yellow of the
night! They were all lined up again to take the restart with
Heather still on the point followed by Haase, Williams, Rudy and
Helen working hard to gain a position, but Coconino Motors #11
Heather Henesey proved that the consistent and steady line was too
much for the field and took the Win followed by 2nd Rick Haase, 3rd
Hellen Henesey, 4th Tim Cotherman and Cale Rudy toping out the top
5! Thank you to all that made it to the 2nd Nadcar Race of the
season and a special thanks to newlywed Cathie Manville for
recording all the footage of the outstanding, bumper to bumper
racing! Hope to see you all at the 3rd race of the season at
Thunder Raceway in

4/6/2013 - WOW! The 2013
Season opener for NADCAR is over and
in the books! What a race it was!! We had cars travel to Mohave Valley
Raceway from all over the state and even one from out of
state!! 18 cars, traveling an average of 4+ hours to race! Way
to go NADCAR members!!!
Now, let’s get to the good stuff!
Heat 1 had 2 Henesey's starting on the front row with
#17 Brian Stehr, making his Mohave Valley Raceway debut in row
2. No one was lifting going into turn 1 and little room for error
was givin throughout the 7 car pack of drivers. #63 Rick Haase was comin
fast through the back of the pack while Stehr narrowly grabbed
the lead position from the #10 Henesey Truck a few laps in.
The action wasn’t over, side by side for the next 6 laps
throughout the entire pack! Stehr, Haase then Helen Henesey took
the top 3 spots. Heat 2 was filled with NADCAR regulars and a few
Desert Drivers who came to do battle. The #43, Tim
Cotherman jumped out to an early lead with #0 Grant
Williams and #47 Steve
Kapaun battling for the 2nd spot. #0 Williams didnt slip
up once and put on quite the show in 2nd place. Cotherman
drove the JBJ Trucking
pick-up across the finish line to take the 2nd heat
win of the night. Mike Williams lead every lap of
the 3rd heat race while Kingman's Caleb Presnal battled side by
side, lap after lap with Pat Henesey. Henesey snuck by Presnal on
the last lap to grab the 2nd place finishing spot.
It was Main Event Time!! Heads up starting spots for the
first race of year had Stehr and Cotherman starting side by side on
the front row! The field was packed with quick cars
looking to chase them down. Cotherman jumped to an early lead with
Stehr, Kapaun, Helen Henesey and Mike Williams looking for a slip
up from the 2012 Champ! There was side by side racing
throughout the field on a very challenging track, the NADCAR
drivers put on quite a show for the fans! Cotherman lead every lap
until the final restart, slipping up just a
bit giving Stehr enough of a look to take the dusty high
line to victory lane. Cotherman, Kapaun, Helen Henesey and
Rick Godsey rounded out the
top 5 spots.
Thanks again to all the drivers, friends and family that made the
trip out! NADCAR wouldn't be what it is with out your support! A

at Thunder Raceway. The drivers were announced on the front stretch
and the fans went wild!! The track went pretty dry slick for the
main event. #11 Heather Henesey took the early lead with #90 Frank

be too much for the #11 truck as Frank Phillips dove to the inside
to claim the 1st position, Heather Henesey, Helen Henesey, Tim
Cotherman and Pat Henesey were ready to battle it out! Frank held
to his high line but Heather Henesey was in the hunt tracking him
down. As the laps counted down Phillips was getting looser and
looser out of the corner. The #11 truck saw her opportunity and
struck with 4 laps to go! #11 Heather Henesey grabbed the lead and
took her truck to victory lane, #90 Frank Phillips rolled across

Phillips continued his winning ways in heat race #1, he jumped to
the lead and stretched a gap over 2nd place Neil Etter and 3rd position Jason Craner. Pat Henesey launched

lead! Jeremiah got to the high line and drove all the way to the
checkered flag! Heat 1 - #81 Colby Potter had a great start in the
first heat, after leading a few laps Ryan Henesey started knocking on
the door and over took the 1st place position, finishing ahead of

showing Steve Kapaun and
Daniel Lamm how to get around the track to claim heat #3. Neil Etter lead all 8 laps in heat

may lay for the start of the main event in turn 3... the 24 car
field was reduced to 18 and the racing action finally began! Frank
Phillip's and the high line at Thunder Raceway are made for
each other! He was on rails for the first 10 laps. Another caution
flag flew and bunched the field back up, Phillips hung in on the
the high line until Mike Williams showed him a nose down low
sliding in to the high spot, Williams got in his fast groove and
took it straight to the checkered flag. Kapaun, Deines, Huttinhow,
Godsey, Stehr, P. Henesey, Cooke, Lamm and Rob Deines grabbed the
top 10 spots! Williams rolled over the scales a "little" light...

talent Rick Haase wasn't
havin' it! He drove in to turn 1 sliding right next to Godsey, the
battle was on! After swapping the lead in each turn Godsey managed
to muscle by Haase and take the first win of the night. Randy
Deines kept the points pressure on Kapaun with the 1st heat win,
followed by Frank Phillips and Helen Henesey. Steve caught the

a chance to sneak into the lead. Melanie and Kyle Huttinhow took
the 2nd and 3rd spots. Kapaun had the lead by 1 point going in to
the main event. Helen Henesey pulled the pole position and was
looking to secure her first win but had quite the field coming!
Henesey stuck the start and held the lead for the first few laps
until a caution flag flew. A sour motor restart halted the #10
Henesey truck which allowed Brian Stehr to sneak in on the low line
and grab the lead. Kapaun moved to 2nd and Mike Williams was moving
quickly through the pack looking to mix up the results! Stehr ran a
fast line up high and couldn't be touched, he drove to the
checkered flag with Williams taking 2nd and Kapaun securing the
Championship with a 3rd place finish. Great racing by everyone over

Neil Etter takes the JBJ Trucking Trophy
7/21 - I don't know how we got
the race in again this past Saturday, the weather was horrific...
the Dwarf Car Gods must have wanted some good racin to watch! The JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash was stacked with
NADCAR's hot shoes of the season! The Top 4 in points with an
inverted start took the green flag. (Race Video: http://youtu.be/d6hn8WDBG6g )
Neil Etter jumped out to an
early start, but Phillips, Cotherman and Haase weren't going to let
him take the win without a fight! There was drag racing down the
straight-aways, tight side by side racing in the corners and high
line passes coming out of turn two that would make you squirm! Neil
held off a last turn challenge from points leader to Tim Cotherman to secure the
Trophy for the most exciting JBJ Trophy
Dash of the season! In heat race #1, the battle between
Etter and Cotherman continued! Etter grabbed the early lead with
Cotherman trailing right behind. Cotherman tried high, then low,
but with no luck once again Etter led Cotherman to the checkered
flag with Heather
Henesey grabbing the 3rd place finish. #24 Andy Rudy took a
quick lead in heat race #2. 2011 Points Champ, Rick Haase, was looking for a heat
win though, working his way quickly through the field! Haase
managed to catch Rudy but couldn't find the right line to pass the
leader. The cars locked tires in turn 4, sending Rudy around and
Haase to the back of the pack. Black
Diamond Auto Glass driver Jason Craner took advantage of
this mishap and battled for the remaining 3 laps, out running
Mike Witt at the finish line!
It was main event time, the stands were packed and ready for some
great racing action! Mike Witt and Jason Craner earned the front
row starts for the night, and they weren't going to give up the
front running spots very easily! Witt, Craner and Cotherman all
dove into the first turn with the rest of the pack coming in hot
behind them! Cotherman never lifted on the high line, narrowly
passing the pack of cars dicing on the bottom of the track! He took
the lead and extended the gap between 2nd as quickly as he could.
The battle was just beginning in the middle of the pack! The
Phillips bro's were hooked up and moving forward! Mike Witt was
holding on to the 3rd place position and Etter was tracking down
Cotherman from the 2nd place position! The pack was running 2 wide
all around the track, with no room for error!! Cotherman kept his
lead and drove all the way to the checkered flag; Neil Etter,
Storm Phillips, Rick
Haase and Frank Phillips
rounded out the top 5 positions! Great racing guys!! We'll be back
in action on August 4th at Thunder Raceway!

better! It was a tight race for the JBJ Trucking Trophy dash win! #0 Grant

pump malfunction. #48 Kelly Baca drove to his first JBJ Trucking Trophy Dash win. #4 George Cooke drove from the back
of heat #1 to grab the win, with Kelly Baca and Heather Henesey grabbing the

Etterslowly reeled him in. Grant held his line and kept it
floored, he grabbed his first heat race win, beating some of
NADCAR's heavy hitters! With the rain gone for the night, it was
main event time! #11 Heather Henesey jumped out to an early lead,
but the pack was coming quick! Mike Willams snuck by on the low
line taking the lead on lap 12. Cotherman, Philips and Cooke were
all working their way through the pack. Williams ran a clean line
to take the Main Event win. Cotherman, Heather Henesey, George

back to Main Event action! The 23 Dwarf cars took the track and
gave the fans a show to watch! Once we got a few restarts out of
the way George Cooke jumped to an early lead over Heather Henesey,
Steve Kapaun and Brian Hatlestad! George started picking off lapped
traffic until he slipped coming off 4, giving Heather Henesey the
lead. Rick Haase was on the
hunt coming from the back of the field, Stehr was moving forward
through traffic trying to shake off the bad luck he'd been having
down in the valley and Neil Etter was riding in a solid top 5,
looking for a chance to grab anther spot! Henesey held on to the
high line up top, Kapaun showed a nose down low but couldn't make
it stick off the turn 2 corner. Stehr was on a mission to get to
the lead, he took 2nd place from Kapaun and was looking for a
chance to return to victory lane. With the suspense growing, the
crowd was on there feet with 5 laps to go... could Henesey hold on?
Would Stehr make his move or would Kapaun sneak by on the bottom!?
Steve did grab the lead on the bottom . . . right after #17, the

5/27 - The Memorial Day Weekend 2 Day
Show was a success with 24 cars showing to battle for 2 days
of racing. The first night of racing saw Ryan Henesey win the main event
and the Sunday winner was Brian Stehr. With a 1st and 2nd place
finishes, Ryan Henesey took home the combined points overall
followed by Brian Stehr, Rick
Godsey, Marcos Zaragoza, Tim Cotherman, Rick Haase, Randy Haugen, Helen Henesey, Heather Henesey, and Pat Henesey.
Pat Henesey wins Race #5 @ Thunder Raceway 5/21/2011
5/21 -NADCAR’s opening night at Thunder Raceway brought 21
cars from Arizona with New Mexico's 3NM car of Russ Maurer bringing
the field to 22. The JBJ Trucking Trophy
Dash started the night with Helen Henesey taking advantage of
the front row start to gain the 1st place position, holding off the
aggressive #90 Randy
Deines to claim the first trophy of the year. Thunder Raceway
put together a smooth track, but passing was difficult if you got
too much out of the groove. Pill draw gave 3 Heneseys positions in
the front of the first heat. Pat Henesey jumped ahead taking the
first spot followed up by Ryan & Helen and Rat Stafford
bringing in the 4th spot. Neil
Etter grabbed his first heat win of the year with Tim Cotherman and John Ogden finishing out the top 3.
Heat 3 brought the stands to their feet, #G4, George Cooke took the early
lead with Frank Phillips
working the outside and looking to the inside for a place to pass.
Frank found his opportunity coming out of 4 to take the checkered
flag by a bumper just ahead of Cooke!! Russ Maurer and Black Diamond auto Glass'sJason Craner finished up in the
top 4 positions.
The Main event started with Pat Henesey and #43 Tim Cotherman in
the front row and pretty much remained that way for all the laps.
Tim tried high and low to get the lead, but the yellow truck was
able to keep the best line and pull off a win with Tim in 2nd and
Ryan Henesey making it 3 wide for a very close finish. Helen
Henesey and John Ogden followed for the top 5, with Rick Godsey, AJ Breu, Rat
Stafford, Seth Gaston
and Neil Etter rounding out
the top 10.
5/14 - Nineteen anxious drivers
gathered at Prescott Valley
Raceway to entertain the fans and compete for the coveted
K&N Custom Concrete & Landscape
Sponsored Trophies. AJ
Breu grabbed the first heat win over the JBJ Trucking'sTim Cotherman and C&C Auto'sRandy Deines. Heat 2 saw a mid
race tight battle between the "North Shores" John Ogden holding off Mike Williams with E & E ServicesRick Haase finishing 3rd. Mike Moyer and David Cooke Jr. sliced and diced
in the final Heat and Cooke Jr. took the win with the AZ Concrete Cutting truck of Melanie Williams Finishing
3rd. The main event started with Cooke Jr. on the pole position and
Breu on the outside, but unfortunately the race took an immediate
red flag with a massive wreck claiming several cars and trucks.
With the race re-starting in its original formation, Cooke Jr.'s
Crescent Moon Cycles powered ride immediately proved it was to be
contended with taking the lead over #93 Breu and #39 Melanie
Williams. It took little time for Cable Ones John Ogden and AZ
Concrete's Mike Williams to work their way to the front. After a
couple of yellows Mike overtook Cooke Jr. for the lead with Ogden
in tow. With 5 laps to go and the rookies of Grant Williams, Jeremy
Moyer, Bugs Haliburton, Erin Deines and Samantha Cotherman
challenging each other for position, Caleb Presnal got air born on
the backstretch thrilling the fans and brought out the second red
flag. With a couple of laps remaining, the AZ Concrete Cutting
Truck of Mike Williams once again closed out the race to be the
victor of the night over Cooke Jr. in 2nd, Ogden 3rd, Melanie 4th,
Josh Randal 5th. Closing out the top ten was AJ Breu 6th, Rookie of
the year contender Grant Williams 7th, steady running Jeremy Moyer
8th, Mile High's Keith
Herring 9th and "Dirt Turn'n" Bugs Halibuton 10th. Honorable
mention goes to Erin Deines 11th and the 12th finishing car of
Samantha Cotherman as they finished unscathed and steady on a fast
track. We hope to see you all on May 21 for the first race at
Thunder Raceway in
Show Low!! (Thanks to guest writer #93 Aj Breu! )
And on a side
who came up to me after the race,
Now that it is
Sunday Night and I have had a chance to assess the damage, the only
thing that I can complain about is a little soreness around the
tops of my shoulders (were the belts grabbed me). The 99 car
is, well let us just say it will need some parts. I really
would like to thank the track crew for their response, they are top
notch. Finally thanks to everybody who came over to make sure
that I was not hurt. I hope to see everybody at the
Did anyone get
pictures or video? I didn't see that much from where I was

4/23 - NADCAR gave the
Prescott Valley race fans another great
show! We had a full field and a lot of action! #56 Jack Defibaugh out drove his
Dad, #54 Fred Defibaugh
in the first heat to secure the first win of the night. The 2nd
heat had Mike Williams
driving his #1 car to the front of the pack out running, Brian Comley, Randy Durta and his wife Melanie Williams. Mike Moyer lead from the pole
position to the checkered flag of the 3rd heat, Mike Dunn and David Cook Jr. put on a great show
finishing in the 2nd and 3rd place positions! Strong competition
filled the main event line up. Low averages from #46 Mike Moyer and
#12 Pat Henesey gave them
the front row for the start of the race. Moyer got a great start
ahead of Henesey and the rest of the field. The battle was tough
from 3rd to 12th with battles breaking out everywhere! The
Defibaughs were slowly working through the pack, Williams diced
through the field, #71 David Cook maneuvered the low line to gain
positions every lap. The Halliburton Bro's were dicing every lap
along with the Kingman drivers Caleb Presnal and Shawnie Berry! The
rookie battle is going to be a good one this year! Williams used
the caution laps to his advantage gaining spots with every restart.
He eventually got around Moyer and grabbed the 1st K & N Custom Concreteand Lanscape victory at Prescott Valley. Fred
Defibaugh and Mike Moyer put on a great show with Defibaugh edging
just ahead of Moyer for the 2nd position. P. Henesey, Cotherman, J.
Defibaugh, Breu, H. Henesey, Haase and Melanie Williams finished
out the top 10. Next race is May14th at PVR. See you all there!
4/18 - The first race at PVR is finally here! We've had a
great season so far, lets keep it going!! Those of you who haven't
had a chance to run with NADCAR yet this year, please get to the
track a little early!! Membership forms need to be filled

Mike Williams takes checkers @ Round 2
4/2 - It was another warm night of
racing for NADCAR saturday night at Mohave Valley Raceway. 17
dwarf cars were hauled from all over AZ to compete in the action!
AZ Concrete Cutting Truck and
Pat Henesey's, Coconino Motors Truck battled side by side for
the first heat win of the night. Williams took advantage of
Henesey's poor muffler choice and powered by Henesey on the
straight-away to take the win. The women of NADCAR started in the
front of Heat #2, Helen
Henesey got an early jump on Melanie Williams to enter turn
1. The battle was tight with Henesey leading, Williams in 2nd and
Heather Henesey in 3rd. Helen ran away with the win with Heather
taking 2nd after Melanie tagged the turn 4 wall. Jeremy Moyer had a
great run finishing 3rd! After 2 flat tires on the way to the track
Mike Moyer still managed to
score his first heat win, just ahead of the battle for 2nd between
JBJ Trucking'sTim Cotherman and C&C Auto Repair'sRandy Deines. NADCAR's points
average invert worked against us this race! After bad luck races
last week by Pat Henesey and Mike Williams they landed the front
row for the main event! The track was smooth, dry and fast. The
middle and high groove allowed for side by side racing and the
drivers of NADCAR were ready to battle! Williams took off to a
quick lead ahead of Pat Henesey. Helen Henesey jumped into 2nd,
someone had to run down Williams and she accepted the challenge!
The battle was tight from 3rd to 10th, cars were side by side,
testing the limits on the high line, and throwing slide jobs from
the bottom line! With 3 cautions for the night Helen Henesey was
all over Williams but couldn't get the job done! Williams grabbed
his first win of 2011 with Pat Henesey, Heather Henesey taking 2nd
and 3rd. Melanie Williams had an awesome run driving all the way up
to 4th with Randy Deines rounding out the top 5. The rookie battle
for 2011 is ON! Grant Williams out of Prescott is edging just ahead
of Erin Deines in the points. Caleb Presnal #99 might be a rookie
to look out for? He proved he his skills in his first race out,
finishing in the 7th position.
The 3rd Points race for NADCAR will be at PVR on April 23rd.
Scales will be available at the track before the race. Please come
early so we can complete tech.

Tim Cotherman wins the NADCAR season opener
3/19 - The first race of the year turned out better than
Valley Raceway provided NADCAR with a smooth and tacky track
for the whole night. Pat
Henesey took an early lead with his daughter Heather and wife Helen very close behind. 3 laps
in Pat burned the clutch up and pulled off the track letting the
battle in sue between the 2 girls! Heather took the white flag and
cautiously drove the last lap not prepared for the dive bomb coming
her way! Helen threw it in hard in turn 3 and rolled up a bumper
ahead to take the win, Rick
Haase finished 3rd just ahead of Randy Deines. The 2nd heat had two
hot shots on the front row, Mike Williams and Tim Cotherman. Mike sailed around
the track to clinch his first heat race of 2011. JBJ Trucking driver Tim Cotherman and Veteran
racer Storm Phillips
rounded out the top 3! The track stayed fast for the main event!
Williams and Phillips led the field to the green flag. Williams was
out of the race quick with a snapped axle, so Cotherman took
advantage and dove into the 1st place position ahead of Phillips,
Haase, and Helen Henesey. There were battles throughout the track!
The newest rookie Grant Williams and his Grandpa Morley Williams
were battling side by side for the 7th position most of the race.
(Yes!! We did have 3 generations of drivers on the track doing
battle,Grant, Mike and Morley!!) Phillips and Haase were splitting
traffic every other lap and Heather Henesey did battle with Randy
Deines throughout the green to checkered event! Cotherman showed
his skills and took the 1st win of the season! Storm Phillips, Rick
Haase, Heather Henesey and Randy Deines rounded out the top 5. The
rookie battle was tough for the first race of the season. Grant
Williams edged out just ahead of Erin Deines and Ed Halliburton!
Should be a fun season! See everyone at the next MVR race
