NADCAR Points Race #16

 

1st Place - John Ogden

10/3 - Hot off the heels of his first main event win at the North - South Shootout, John Ogden returned to PVR and won his first NADCAR main event. Ryan Henesey took the lead from the pole at the start and lead the first part of the main running his Williams Built Rent a Ride. Mike Williams, Pat Henesey, and Matt Decker were all in the mix at the front. John Ogden searching for a way around found a high line that none of the leaders were using. With this line John was able to pick his way through the pack and take the lead with about half the main event to go. Even more impressive was the fact that John out ran 3 Dwarf Car National Champions and 3 Dwarf Car Series Points Champions. Very impressive!

We would also like to welcome two more new members to the club. Brian Craig and Randy Dutra (11th place finish !!) This brings our club roster up to 63 members for the 2009 season.

The 2009 NADCAR series points chase has tightened slightly with Pat Henesey still leading with 869 pts., Mike Willians railing with 822 pts. and Tim Cotherman with 740 pts. With only the top 12 races counting the points title is far from over. It will come down to the last two races of the season hosted my Mojave Valley Raceway. Oct 10th and Oct. 24th.
